Yin Yoga Series (January 5th – March 30th ***No Class on January 26th due to the Winter Carnival)
Yin is a passive style of yoga practice that is quiet, meditative, and slow with extra long holds of restorative postures to stimulate deep muscle release and improve your body’s flexibility and lengthening the deep connective tissue – bone, tendons and ligaments while tapping into your inner strength with calmness and ease in body and mind. While this practice is not the most physically demanding, its challenge lies in the mental endurance to hold passive stretches for 3-5 minutes.
The Yin practice helps restore balance to our body and mind from our more ‘yang’ lifestyles. This series will be about embracing the opportunity to turn inwards and bring your attention to your breath, allowing you to enjoy moments of calm and tranquility. It’s a deeply introspective experience.
This practice is accessible to all bodies and all levels, from those seeking ease and mobility due to tightness or chronic pain, as well as yogis looking to improve mobility and provide a compliment to all sports and active styles of yoga practice. Come relax and experience the value of building strength in a slow and nourishing way.
Winter is the perfect time to get cosy and practice Yin yoga.

Winter Wellness Wednesdays – Slow Flow and Yin Yoga Series (January 8th – March 26th )
At this time of year, in the darker, quieter, colder winter months, we seek warmth, nourishment and rejuvenation. Yoga can offer all this!
This series combines the fluid practice of flow with the stillness of YIN. Spend the first half of the class relaxing through a slow paced feel-good practice of gentle movements designed to relieve stress and tension in an easeful way, followed by a restorative quiet, meditative, slow practice with extra long holds of stretches to stimulate deep muscle release and improve your body’s flexibility while tapping into your inner strength with calmness and ease in body and mind.
Every class in this serene series will be a little different, allowing you to let go of your daily stresses and chaos, zeroing in on your inner peace, health, and well-being with breathwork and powerful guided relaxation and meditations.
This all-levels class is excellent for those who prefer a less vigorous practice and for those experiencing illness, injury, stress, or chronic pain.
