In case you missed it in the Bay Ward newsletter on May 29, plans have changed for the Lakeview Ditch Rehabilitation Project. Due to budget constraints, the project will now be phased into two tender packages:
Tender package 1 (Storm sewer replacement on Holly Acres Road, from Carling Avenue to Aero Drive):
- Design completion: summer 2026
- Construction start: fall 2026
- Construction completion: early 2027
Tender package 2 (Ditch rehabilitation work in Lakeview Community and new sidewalk if feasible):
- Design completion: fall 2026
- Construction start: spring 2027
- Construction completion: fall 2028
We had expected a second public information session this spring, but it is now expected to take place fall 2026. Councillor Kavanagh has said that her office will share the date and details for that session when they are confirmed.
