Theresa Kavanagh is hosting an information session on a proposed development at 70 Woodridge Crescent. The meeting will take place on Zoom Thursday, March 3 from 7:00 pm – 8:00 pm.

Ferguslea Properties will discuss plans for a mixed-use development on vacant land at 70 Woodridge Crescent adjacent to the Bayshore Shopping Centre. City staff will also be in attendance to answer questions on the application process. The proposal has not yet been submitted to the City.

For more information about the project or to sign up to receive the Zoom link to participate, see:

    Our Community’s Concerns

Crystal Beach Lakeview was disappointed when a similar project, “100 Bayshore”, was approved by Planning Committee in the fall of 2020. Because that application required exemptions to the zoning bylaw and Ottawa’s official plan, it should have triggered more planning. The requirements were waived and citizens’ concerns about inadequate planning for parks, schools, roads, and issues about storm-water runoff into Graham Creek were not addressed. The possibility that land would be required for the Baseline bus rapid transit terminus at Bayshore, among other issues, were also pushed aside. The location’s proximity to transit seemed to excuse further study for many of these issues.

A second set of towers doubles these risks. The meeting will provide an opportunity for our community to learn, ask questions, give feedback, and express any concerns about the project.

I am very concerned of the density with no plan for green space and extra parking.
The consequence of not having green space is that Andrew Haydon Park will not be able to handle all the people. As it is now, frequently it is over crowded.
Also people walk in our neighbourhood (Creekside) , sometimes in our private area. And we have had people steal things in the back of our homes.
I am concerned about invasion of our privacy.
