Join the Crystal Beach Lakeview Community Association at Corkstown Park on Sunday, June 2nd for
Wheel Day! The event runs from 10:30am-2:00pm, with fun events, bike safety tips, and games. Here are some of the day’s events:
Bike Rodeo (ages 6-10) – This is an interactive program for children designed to promote cycling as a safe, method of transportation in a context they can enjoy. Children are taught the basics of cycling safety in a controlled environment, such as a school yard, parking lot, track or basketball court. They become familiar with the importance of helmets, signage, bicycle maintenance, handling, and are able to put their knowledge to the test by driving through a mini main street! At the end of the Bike Rodeo, children will bike away with better cycling habits and a familiarity with the rules of the road.
The Amazing Race (all ages) – Bike, scoot or roll your way to Amazing Race stations around Crystal Beach Lakeview neighbourhood. Complete a task at each station to receive your next clue for your team!
Family Yoga in the Park (all ages) – Join Tammy for an all ages-friendly yoga session in Corkstown Park as she takes you through a series of poses to stretch your muscles and enjoy nature.
