Thank you to all the residents who joined us at Maki House on December 11 for the Crystal Beach Lakeview Community Association’s 2025 Annual General Meeting. After a brief delay while we reached quorum, the evening was productive, informative, and full of thoughtful discussion about the year behind us and the work ahead.
The AGM included updates from the President, Treasurer, Parks & Recreation, and the Transportation, Infrastructure & Planning Committee, as well as remarks from Councillor Theresa Kavanagh. We also held elections for the 2025–2026 Board and heard valuable feedback from residents on community programming and local issues.
As always, the CBLCA’s ability to offer programs, events, advocacy, and support for local groups depends entirely on volunteers. From running Youth Sports and maintaining the rink to reviewing planning files and organizing community events, everything we do is powered by neighbours who step forward to help.
If you’re interested in getting involved — whether a little or a lot — we would love to hear from you. We are currently looking for:
- A Communications Chair to help with newsletters and community updates
- Members for the TIP (Transportation, Infrastructure & Planning) subcommittee
- Special event volunteers for the Winter Carnival and Wheel Day
If you’d like to contribute your time or skills, please reach out to us at CBLCAPresident@gmail.com
For those who were unable to attend — or who would like a detailed record — the full draft minutes are available below as a downloadable attachment. They provide a complete overview of reports, motions, discussions, and decisions from the meeting.
