Greeting Crystal Beech Lakeview,
Things seem to be pretty quiet here on the western front, so I will keep this short. The city is dialing back the various COVID restrictions and Maki House is getting closer to being fully open (details in the Parks are Rec article). No new news on the purposed Villa Lucia development, it is in some state of limbo at present.
We have a few articles from our new Environmental group, including one that I forgot to include in the last Newsletter.. Which reminds me to mention, we are still looking for a communications guru. If anyone in the neighbourhood is looking for something to help their resume? (contact: Generalcblca@gmail.com)
We are also looking for anyone interested in painting the Maki House Bunker doors, we have had one expression of interest so far. See article below for a picture of the Bunker and more details.
The recent weather has derailed the Curling Bonspiel, but it will happen this coming weekend – weather permitting of course – more below!
That’s it from me, as always I encourage you to get out and embrace winter, go check out the nearby winter trails, take a walk out to Lake Duchesne (aka the Ottawa River) , or a simple walk around the neighbourhood – and say high to your fellow residents!
