Laine Johnson, College Ward Councillor, held a public engagement meeting Thursday, Jan. 16 on the planned Baseline Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) system. The Baseline BRT will be a critical link in the overall transit network, and it will provide important service to Crystal Beach Lakeview. Bit of a problem though—we don’t have funding for the whole thing!
Phase 1 construction will start this spring at the Greenbank/Baseline intersection. Funding for that piece is available.

More discussion and more public engagement on the whole Transportation Master Plan (MTP) should take place later this spring.
