What’s the Flood Subcommittee?
The Crystal Beach Lakeview Community Association includes a committee called the Transportation, Infrastructure, and Planning Committee (TIP). The Flood Subcommittee will be an extension of the TIP. It will follow essentially the same rules and procedures. Its members must be residents of Crystal Beach Lakeview. We have made an exception to invite a former resident, Ruth Tremblay, who now lives in Kingston, but once served as President of CBLCA.
What’s the purpose of the Flood Subcommittee?
The Flood Subcommittee’s primary goal is to further the Crystal Beach Lakeview community’s interest in anything that relates to transportation, infrastructure, and planning with respect to the extreme weather event that occurred on July 1, 2026.
What would you have to do?
We need people to think, organize, do research, write, take pictures, and have ideas. You would be on the Flood Subcommittee email list. There might be a lot of emails, even if we keep it limited to this one topic, and the committee might be needed for a long time (or not). The emails will be limited to the flood, and we are unlikely to have many meetings.
You can participate as much or as little as you like. If you want to do more, that will be very welcome.
We have not determined how long the Flood Subcommittee will be needed for, but our direction will become clearer over the coming weeks as we learn more. At this stage, we are researching, understanding where we’re at, and still dealing with the blow we’ve suffered
Why should you join?
Join to find out what happened, what is happening, to contribute ideas, and to share with your fellow survivors. Above all, join to help your Crystal Beach Lakeview community.
