Winter Solstice Yin and Yoga Nidra Session
The Winter Solstice is a mystical time that marks the year’s shortest day and longest night. It is a potent portal for transformation, release and renewal. The shifting of the seasons offers the perfect opportunity to immerse yourself in a deeply nourishing experience designed to rejuvenate your body, mind and spirit.
Yoga Nidra means “yogic sleep,” it is a deep meditative state where the body sleeps and restores, but the mind is still conscious. It’s one of the most powerful tools for nervous system healing, stress relief, and emotional integration.
During the session, we will focus on surrendering and slowing down into the present moment. We start with a series of restorative yin postures featuring long holds that will nourish and support the body, followed by a guided yoga nidra deep sleep meditation where the body sleeps and restores, but the mind is still conscious.
In the busyness of life, rest is often the first thing we sacrifice—and yet, it’s the very foundation of our healing. The combined practices of yin yoga and yoga nidra are scientifically proven to reduce stress and anxiety, relieve muscle tension, calm the mind and body and improve sleep. It is the ultimate self-care practice to rebalance and soothe your energy, moving into the holiday season.
A 60-minute session of Yoga Nidra can be as restorative as 4 hours of sleep. It’s real-life magic.
No prior experience in yoga or meditation required.

Winter Yin Yoga Series
Yin is a passive style of yoga practice that is quiet, meditative, and slow with extra long holds of restorative postures to stimulate deep muscle release and improve your body’s flexibility and lengthening the deep connective tissue – bone, tendons and ligaments while tapping into your inner strength with calmness and ease in body and mind. While this practice is not the most physically demanding, its challenge lies in the mental endurance to hold passive stretches for 3-5 minutes.
The Yin practice helps restore balance to our body and mind from our more ‘yang’ lifestyles. This series will be about embracing the opportunity to turn inwards and bring your attention to your breath, allowing you to enjoy moments of calm and tranquility. It’s a deeply introspective experience.
This practice is accessible to all bodies and all levels, from those seeking ease and mobility due to tightness or chronic pain, as well as yogis looking to improve mobility and provide a compliment to all sports and active styles of yoga practice. Come relax and experience the value of building strength in a slow and nourishing way.
Winter is the perfect time to get cozy and practice Yin yoga.

Winter Wellness Wednesdays – Slow Flow and Yin Yoga Series
At this time of year, in the darker, quieter, colder winter months, we seek warmth, nourishment and rejuvenation. Yoga can offer all this!
This series combines the fluid practice of flow with the stillness of YIN. Every class in this serene series will be a little different, allowing you to let go of your daily stresses and chaos, zeroing in on your inner peace, health, and well-being with breathwork and powerful guided relaxation and meditations.
This all-levels class is excellent for those who prefer to explore both the dynamic and warmth strength building active yoga practice you love with the restorative longer held sketch-based yin sequences you crave.
