Dear Crystal Beach Lakeview Community,
During these challenging times of political and economic uncertainty, it is good to remember all that we’ve been through together over the last couple of years, we’ve navigated a multi year lockdown due to COVID, the first Trump presidency, and a devastating wind storm that brought an extended power outage to many of us.
While it sometimes might seem unfair that these trying times have fallen to us, it’s an excellent time to remember the resilience that got us through those challenges and embrace the opportunities for growth and connection that lie ahead. Spring is upon us, bringing with it a sense of renewal and hope.
Our neighborhood is fortunate to have so many green and accessible spaces—ideal for enjoying the outdoors, whether it’s a walk, a bike ride, or simply soaking up the fresh air.
As we welcome this new season, I’m excited to share some upcoming community events that we can all look forward to. Our annual Community Garage Sale is a fantastic way to declutter, find new treasures, and connect with neighbors (June 7th, 2025). And for the young and young-at-heart, Wheel Day is just around the corner (Date TBD June 1st/8th, 2025) — a celebration of all things with wheels, from bikes to scooters to R/C Racers!
These events are a wonderful reminder of what makes our community special: our ability to come together, support one another, and create meaningful experiences. I encourage you to take this opportunity to step outside, meet your neighbors, and make the most of the season.
As always, if you have ideas, questions, or would like to get involved with the CBLCA, don’t hesitate to reach out. You can contact me at cblcapresident@gmail.com. Let’s continue to build a strong, vibrant Crystal Beach Lakeview together.
Wishing you a bright and refreshing spring,
Nicolas Martinez
