I would like to let you know of an upcoming road closure. Corkstown Road will be closed for a few days coming up next week and December 1st. More information is available here: Update: Notice of Road Closures: Corkstown Road and Moodie Drive – Nov 24-26 & Dec 1 | OC Transpo

Dates:                November 24-26 & December 1 from 9:30am – 3:00pm.

Location:           Westbound Corkstown Road between Abbott Private and Moodie Drive

Purpose:            Grading, paving road widening, & paving curb cuts

Company:         Kiewit, Eurovia, and Vinci (KEV)

  I am very concerned about the fact that asphalt is going to be laid at an improper time. The temperatures are too cold for laying asphalt and if this is done, the quality of the work will be very low, leading to degradation of Corkstown road in a far shorter time than if the asphalt was laid at a proper time with temperatures above 10 degrees C.
