“To all women. Those that gave birth, those that chose not to and those that wanted to but didn’t get the opportunity. To those that have lost a child. To those that lost a mother. To those who are/were blessed with connected relationships with their mothers. To those that have/had a challenging relationship with their mothers and to those that don’t/didn’t maintain relationships with their mothers. To those going through infertility. Those who birthed a baby for another family. And those who do it all on their own. We are all valued and deserve recognition because we are all mothers in some way. Whether it’s with a child, other family members, a friend, a pet, with employees or doing advocacy. We all deserve to be celebrated.”
Spring Yin Yoga Series (6 weeks)
Yin is a passive style of yoga practice that is quiet, meditative, and slow with extra long holds of restorative postures to stimulate deep muscle release and improve your body’s flexibility and lengthening the deep connective tissue – bone, tendons and ligaments while tapping into your inner strength with calmness and ease in body and mind. While this practice is not the most physically demanding, its challenge lies in the mental endurance to hold passive stretches for 3-5 minutes.
The Yin practice helps restore balance to our body and mind from our more ‘yang’ lifestyles. This series will be about embracing the opportunity to turn inwards and bring your attention to your breath, allowing you to enjoy moments of calm and tranquility. It’s a deeply introspective experience.
This practice is accessible to all bodies and all levels, from those seeking ease and mobility due to tightness or chronic pain, as well as yogis looking to improve mobility and provide a compliment to all sports and active styles of yoga practice. Come relax and experience the value of building strength in a slow and nourishing way.
