    President’s message

    Dear CBLCA Community,

As we settle into summer, I wanted to take a moment to thank everyone who helped make Wheel Day such a great success! A big shout-out to Z’s Bike Fix, the Scouts, Days for Girls, and all the incredible volunteers who came out to share their time and energy. Events like these remind us of the amazing spirit that defines our community.

With Canada Day just around the corner, I’d like to wish everyone a joyful celebration! We hope to see you at the community BBQ and fireworks on Ullswater. These events are made possible by generous community support—if you’d like to contribute, donations are welcome here.

As we head into July, please note that your CBLCA executive is taking a well-earned summer break. That said, if something comes up that needs our attention, don’t hesitate to give us a poke—we’re always here to help where we can.

We’re also on the lookout for some new volunteers to join the team! If you’re interested in helping out as Communications Chair (newsletter, website), with Parks & Rec (Maki House), as a Zone Rep, Treasurer, or in another capacity, we’d love to hear from you.

Wishing you all a safe, sunny, and relaxing summer!

    Warm regards,

    Nicolas Martinez
