Bring On The Bay – Ottawa Open Water Swim – July 13th, 2024

Ever wondered what 800 swimmers in the Ottawa River look like? Come on down to Dick Bell Park, starting at 8:00 AM. Come watch the spectacle from the best vantage point – the NSC lighthouse at the end of the breakwater at Harry Kingston Point.

On Saturday. July 13 at 8 a.m., between 800 and 900 swimmers will begin swimming in waves, some 3000m from Nepean Sailing Club to Britannia Yacht Club (BYC), some 1500m from Britannia Beach to BYC. Over 200 volunteers are involved, many in safety boats and kayaks. They are raising money for Easter Seals. In 2023 $90,000 were raised.

Read about Anne Griffith, who will be participating with her daughter, Amelia

Bring On The Bay is an open-water swim on the Ottawa river starting at Nepean Sailing Club and ending at Britannia Yacht Club.
