Just in time for the holiday season, you’re warmly invited to an Open House of the Ottawa Olde Forge Rug Hooking Branch at Maki House, Saturday, November 24, 10:30 a.m. – 3 p.m.
If you think you know what rug hooking is, we’ll probably suggest, no – perhaps you don’t. Over the years, rug hooking has evolved and we hook (and felt, embroider and braid) with wool
strips and many other materials, such as sari silk and recyclables. The hooking styles are as far-ranging as the creativity and talent of our 90+ members. From traditional and primitive to experimental, we think you’ll be impressed.
You can try hooking to see if you’re interested – perhaps there are some budding hookers in the area. We’ll be on hand to show you what we do and how we do it – and to sweeten the invite, there will be coffee, tea and a few treats. We looking forward to seeing you.
