The Rotary Club of Nepean-Kanata is organizing a yard sale to raise funds for Rotary and the CBLCA.
The event will happen Sept. 18, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m (weather dependent due to COVID-19 regulations) at 40 Horner Drive, in Lakeview Park.
Proceeds go to support Rotary Club of Nepean-Kanata programs, and 25 percent will go to the CBLCA.
If you have items you’d like to contribute to the sale, please contact Linda Newton at email@example.com.
Please wear a mask and maintain two-metre distance where possible, in accordance with Ottawa Public Health guidelines. Hand sanitizers will be available.
What is Rotary?
A worldwide organisation of more than 1.2 million people in more than 35,000 clubs. Together, we see a world where people unite and take action to create lasting change – across the globe, in our communities, and in ourselves.
What is the Rotary Club of Nepean-Kanata?
Your local Rotary club and one of the Rotary in Ottawa family of 10 clubs in Ottawa. We currently meet Thursday evenings via Zoom, and in person once a month at a local patio to socialise and enjoy each other’s company.
What do we do?
We fundraise to support local community groups such as FAMSAC, Michele Heights Community House, the Caldwell Family Centre, and the Dr. F. J. MacDonald Elementary School. We run an annual Adventure in High Technology program for sponsored high school students in Ontario. We support youth through our annual bursary program to eight deserving students in Ottawa and we sponsor an international youth exchange student every year. We provide ‘Go with the Flow’ kits to young girls in Ghana and Uganda so they can go to school during their menstrual cycle.
