Some of you might have been concerned that this newsletter is late this month, did we forget? The new CBLCA executive negotiated a new time to hold our monthly meetings, it is now the third week of the month. We moved the newsletter accordingly to the preceding Sunday so we can give you the latest -breaking news!
You may have also noticed a lack of Winter Carnival advertising from us. Due to the recent COVID restrictions and the low response to the Winter Carnival poll we had in the last newsletter, it just didn’t make sense to commit resources to a Winter Carnival that may get cancelled through restrictions and without a strong push from the community. This is unfortunate, but such are the times. We hope to have a great Wheel Day in the summer to make up for it. A big thanks to the Boy Scouts for their enthusiasm for the event!
For those of you that have been waiting for further information on the proposed Vila Lucia development, we have no news to give you. It appears the development has stalled, temporarily at least.
The days are getting longer and hopefully the weather will start to warm up soon, so get outside and give a nod to your neighbours as you pass each other on the street. Check out the Ottawa West Winter Trial, partly made possible by you/us. Remember we are fortunate to live in such a great community and it’s good neighbours that make it happen!
