President’s January Message

Happy New Year from the CBLCA. As we settle into this second wave of COVID-19 with a mix of hope for a vaccine and dread from the ongoing impacts on our lives, we should take some comfort that the City of Ottawa in general has done well, comparatively, in managing the pandemic (thanks to your sacrifices and diligence). CBLCA’s activities — from Maki House to Winter Carnival — will be continue to be affected, but we will do our best to adapt and overcome. We will keep you informed the best we can and encourage everyone to keep an eye on each other. As usual if you have any Ideas or concerns, please let us know!

We are still looking for a Communications Chair to complete the Executive. As Comm’s Chair, what would your responsibilities be? You would attend our monthly meetings, produce a monthly newsletter, and oversee the website, Instagram, and FaceBook content. You’d also have the option to form and lead a small communications team. It’s a sweet resume builder or simply a great way to give back to your community. If you’re interested or have questions, feel free to contact me: CBLCApresident@gmail.com.
