   Give me a break. Upwards of 49 kilometers per hour equates to 30.4 mph. The traffic maximum in this community was 30 miles per hour until it was changed to kilometers per hour which as 50 kilometers per hour. The maximum speed was lowered to 40 kilometers per hour. To try being careful not going over this 40 kph one should use the speed/cruise control however automobiles today can not be set below the 40 kph mark.
   Leave the roads and speed limits alone.
   I suggest to calm the traffic on this road no automobiles should be allowed to travel this street not even for local traffic. Special parking should be made on Carling Avenue or Holly acres so that all residents can walk in from these main roads. This would also lower the cost of snow removal even though the roads are not cleared properly in the winter anyways.

   Please please propose Corkstown Road, between Crystal Beach Drive and Moodie. After living here for 10 years, the traffic has increased tremendously and with the increased traffic, there is an increase in speeding. It is disheartening that the City has not implemented anything that has been effective. The speed boards do not work – people either disregard them or they speed up after they pass them.

   Lakeview was offered curbs and sidewalks but did not accept them because it would raise their taxes. Sidewalks would have made walking on that street safer. Lakeview people should have elected for the curbs and sidewalks when they were offered.

   I agree that Corkstown is a problem really the entire length given the school to the east and the parkland between the school and Crystal Beach. A speed study there would be helpful

   The entire length of Corkstown: speed limits, calming measures & stop signs are largely disregarded. West of Crystal Beach Dr is treated as a raceway by many. Poorly designed drainage often forces pedestrians onto the road in winter due to puddling/freezing on the sidewalk. A flashing red/stop sign in lieu of the pedestrian x-walk near Moodie Stn. would be less confusing for everyone and interrupt the excessive speeds.

   Other streets that are a concern: Crystal Beach Drive, Bedale and Ullswater. Speeding in the entire neighbourhood has gotten out of hand, but particularly on these three. Many cars turning onto these streets from Carling are already going above the speed limit there. Cars taking the 90 degree turn on Ullswater too quickly is a particular danger, especially with no sidewalks on Ullswater. Maybe speed bumps on either side of the bend? Maybe posts such as shown in the picture above to improve safety for pedestrians particularly at the bend?

   When cars are parked along Crystal Beach Drive, it becomes a one lane road in parts which is problematic with bus traffic and is particularly dangerous at the bends where visibility is reduced. Maybe speed boards would be useful, but they don’t seem particularly effective on Corkstown and Carling, where going the speed limit seems to just be a suggestion.

   Crystal Beach Drive definitely needs something to be done,
   OC Transpo in particular needs to slow down.
   They pass our home 4 times an hour and the house shakes every time.
   Pictures do not stay hanging straight in our house for very long.
   I’ve contacted the city multiple times. They’ve ‘fixed it’ in the past by adding pavement to the crack in the road in front of our home. But that pavement wears away quick with all the speeding traffic going over it.
   Would love something to slow people down on Crystal Beach Drive!!
