Established in 1979, the Nepean Sailing Club is a family-oriented, volunteer based organization dedicated to promoting and encouraging active participation by its members and the public in the sport of sailing and recreational boating. Griffiths Rankin Cook Architects won an architectural award in 1990 for the design of the main clubhouse. For forty-five years, NSC has provided the National Capital area with a range of cutting-edge public and member programs, as well as hosting important aquatic events and national regattas.
With more than 1700 members, NSC has expanded to rank among Canada’s biggest sailing and boating clubs. Day sailing, upriver cruising, sailboat racing, fishing, ski/wakeboarding, kayaking, and other water sports are among the member’s favourite boating activities. In addition to 700 member boats of all kinds (Keelboat, Dinghy, Power), the club also has its own Sail Training and support boats. Our terrace offers stunning views of the Ottawa River, and we have a fantastic event area that can be rented for birthday, anniversary, retirement, and meeting celebrations.
