The extended deadline for submissions to the City of Ottawa on the draft new Official Plan is March 12, 2021.
The draft plan is generating widespread response across the city, much of it negative. At the same time, there are ongoing opportunities for comment both on the draft plan as well as an updating process for a number of other Master Plans that will form a part of the new Official Plan, once passed by Council. These plans being updated include Transportation, Climate Change, Infrastructure, Parks and Recreation Facilities, and Zoning By-Laws.

There remains widespread dissatisfaction with both the content and process of the Official Plan updating. This has resulted in efforts at collaboration among the concerned organizations, including CBLCA. Options are being discussed. Stay tuned for more information over the next weeks.
