The Transit, Transportation, and Infrastructure Committee (TTIC) was been hard at work grinding through the City of Ottawa draft of the “new Official Plan” and coming up with a submission on behalf of our community.
This Official Plan affects us individually as residents and as a community. The CBLCA is not alone in reviewing this document, and we have engaged with other community associations, environmental groups, and residents in order to provide an unbiased, well-informed critique of the proposed Official Plan. We are proud to present this document here. The CBLCA executive would like to thank the members of the TTIC for their hard work and dedication: Ian McConnachie (chair), Rick Nelson (Zone 3 rep), Mark Hollett, Kate Twiss, Anita Vanden Bygaart, and Lynn Hart. We consider it vital that our voices are heard and our city officials make informed decisions, especially those that will have a huge impact of the future of Ottawa for the next 25 years.
Hello CBLCA
Just a quick email from a resident of Alta Vista.
I found a link to your OP submission dated Feb 8 ( on Bulldog) and I would like to commend you for such a thorough and thoughtful document. I have skimmed through it and hope to spend more time digesting it. I noted one section , 5.1.3, as bang on.
I have sent the document link to others in my neighbourhood. I am hoping the city agrees with the FCA’s recommendation to postpone decision making until 2023. This issue is far too important to rush through especially during a pandemic when we cannot gather as a community to work together on this.
Congrats
