Help Stop “Dog Strangling Vine” at Andrew Haydon Park

A group of concerned residents will be joining forces to help irradiate Strangling Dog Vine that is growing near the bridge at Andrew Haydon Park. The Botanical Gardens in Toronto has found that simply cutting off all seed cases is best (rather than pulling the plants) to deal with this invasive species.

Weather permitting, work begins on Wednesday, September 12th, between 1 and 3 p.m. If you would like to participate, please meet at the bridge that joins Dick Bell and Andrew Haydon parks. All your need to bring scissors, or clippers, and plastic bags. A reminder to dress according to the weather.
