Impact Hub Ottawa, 123 Slater Street, 6th floor
The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) address serious global challenges, which won’t be solved without major changes to the way we live, work, and interact with our environment – our cities included.
To kick off a series of Cross-Border Conversations on the SDGs , this event will feature lightning talks from local speakers to set the stage for a conversation with Anthony Pipa, an expert on place-based policy and sustainable development. Anthony will share practical examples from cities around the world and shed light on what Ottawa, and cities across Canada, can do to lead the way in advancing the SDGs.
The City’s New Official Plan aims to make Ottawa the most liveable mid-sized city in North America. This is an opportunity to hear from global and local change makers about what a “liveable city” means to them, what it takes to build one, and how the SDGs can help each of us take action. Whether you’re a city planner, community advocate, or a curious citizen, you’ve got something valuable to add to the conversation!
