ParticipACTION Challenge got us moving!

The Crystal Beach Lakeview ParticipACTION Community Better Challenge was a great community event to meet new neighbours and enjoy our local green spaces, waterfront, and community buildings.  Almost 50 different events were offered right here in CBL from June 2nd-16th. We hope you enjoyed getting active in and that you keep moving and having fun this season.

A BIG thanks to Dan Dubeau, Amanda Kirk-Brez and Krystal Taylor for initiating our local challenge.  And thanks to the dozen volunteers that helped with planning and offering all of these activities.  Neighbours joined in on walking, running, street hockey, softball, stand-up paddle boarding, sailing, basketball, bocce, cricket, mini-putt and driving range, street games, and so much more – check out a few pics below!

The Challenge ended with an amazing community fajita buffet!  A HUGE thanks to Peter Millar for planning  and preparing the food for this event.  Maki House has never smelled so good!  Thanks too to Grant Millar for logistics support and all other event volunteers.  This was a great evening with 107 neighbours coming out to dine and have some fun!

ParticipACTION has announced the Challenge will be back again next June, so stay tuned and plan to get involved.
