Hello spring! Really, it feels as if it is happening. Won’t be long till pathways are clear, bikes are out and boats are in the water.
Spring brings, for our community, lots of activity, as you will read more about here. I want to say a very special thank you to those of you who responded to the survey about the road closure proposed for part of Corkstown Rd. Your opinion fuels the work we do as your community association with the city and transit planners. CBLCA will host a community meeting at the Nepean Sailing Club on April 16, where we will hear a transit update from city staff and have a chance to ask questions.
Also, thanks to all of you who came to the meeting Councillor Theresa Kavanagh hosted on Cardel’s plans for the corner of Bedale and Carling. The tone throughout the evening was respectful, the questions clear and incisive, and the suggestions from so many of you reflected common sense. Stay tuned for updates.
But spring is not all about meetings! Read about a ParticipACTION Community Better Challenge being led by Krystal Taylor and Dan Dubeau. And mark June 2 on your calendar for our annual Wheel Day.
Your CBLCA Executive meets early in April. In May we’ll bring you updates from that meeting. In the meantime, enjoy the end of winter!
